Gambrel Barn Reimagined

This project is a thoughtful renovation of an 1850s Gambrel barn, transformed into a warm and functional modern residence while honoring its agrarian roots. The original barn form—with its iconic gambrel roof and traditional proportions—has been preserved and reimagined through careful detailing and material selection. Natural stone accents, board-and-batten siding, and wood trim celebrate the barn’s rural heritage, while new windows, dormers, and a screened porch introduce light, livability, and year-round comfort. Inside and out, the design merges historic character with modern functionality, offering a timeless retreat rooted in craftsmanship and place.
